How to identify turquoise? From the color can be divided into three levels:
Grade 1 turquoise: The color is bright blue, the color is pure, uniform, strong, translucent to slightly transparent, and the surface has a glassy feeling. The texture is dense, delicate, tough, without iron wire or other defects, and the blockiness is large.
Secondary turquoise: the color is dark blue, blue green, emerald green, strong luster, slightly transparent. The texture is tough, the iron wire or other defects are few, and the blockiness is medium.
Three grades of turquoise: the color is light blue or blue-white, light yellow-green, the gloss is poor, the texture is relatively stiff, the iron wire is obvious, or the white brain, tendons, heart and other defects are more, the block size varies.

Porcelain pine
Because the fracture is similar to the shell shape, the polished texture after polishing is very similar to porcelain, so it is named porcelain pine. Hardness between 5.5 and 6, is the hardest texture in turquoise, usually the color is pure sky blue, is the top grade in turquoise.
Green pine
The hardness is slightly lower than that of porcelain pine, usually between 4.5 and 5.5, and the color is from blue-green to bean green. It is a medium-quality turquoise.
Pine
It is called foaming, its hardness is below 4.5, and it can be infused with a knife. It is generally light blue to moon white, which is the finest quality of turquoise. Because this kind of surface is soft and loose, it is only useful to use a large piece of surface. However, manual optimization methods such as injection molding and wax injection are often used to improve its quality and appearance.
Wire pine
There are black limonite veins in the turquoise which are distributed in a network, which makes the blue or green turquoise appear as a turquoise species with black turtles, nets and veins. It is called wire pine.
